If your RV does not have self leveling equipment, you will need some leveling blocks that go under the tires and jacks, to level the RV. Wheel chocks will be needed to be placed under the front and back of each wheel to prevent the RV from rolling once it has been parked. It is always best practices to have a hand level to make sure all your efforts to level the RV are complete.
Hooking up your electrical should be the first thing you do after leveling and securing your RV. Be sure the electrical cord that comes with the RV is easily accessible when you get there. If the electrical access at the site is further than your cord will reach, this is where you will need an extension cord. Find one that is equal to or longer than your original cord. This way you will always be close enough. Find a surge protector that fits the connector to your RV. You will also need adaptors to fit 20-amp, 30-amp, and 50-amp. There are a wide range of surge protectors and adaptors so find the ones that fit your budget. Please be aware to make sure you get products that are proven, to protect your RV.
Freshwater hose that is safe for drinking water. If you will be travelling where the temperature will be below freezing you will need to acquire a hose that is heated, to obviously prevent the water from freezing in the hose. This will also require a water pressure regulator to prevent damage to the water lines in your RV if the pressure from the outside spigot is too high for your interior system. Since water taste and composition is not the same in all parts of the country, I would also recommend getting a water filtration system that will filter the water prior to it getting to your RV. This will prevent scale and/or lime buildup in the water lines that could cause blockages in your showerhead and faucets. It could really get expensive to replace especially if you have a refrigerator with a water line.
Sewer hose that is flexible, strong, and long enough to reach the system opening. You will also need a separate hose for the black tank flush. Make sure they all have plugs for the ends to prevent leakage during travel days. Get an elbow adapter that will fit any size sewer tank, if one is not included in your hose set up. You may want a hose support to keep thing moving down the line. An important addition would be the enzymes needed to help break down the waste making emptying easier. Find the one that works the best for you. Lastly, but most important, you will need to keep nitril gloves on hand for safety and prevent contamination to yourself. They don't need to be expensive, they just need to fit your hands. If they are too loose you could lose grip on the hose or attachments and then you have a real mess.
If you will be going off grid, where hookups are not available, or just in case you lose electricity, you will need to look into a generator and/or solar panels. Solar panels can be attached on the roof or can be portable. There are a wide range of generators out there. Look around so you will find the one that best suits you and your RV.
